The playoffs are back on track and we're returning "home" to Coleman Oval!
Monday night @ 6pm, we take on the Hipster Pigeons at good ol' Coleman Oval Playground, at the corner of Market & Monroe Streets, in Chinatown. Coin toss determines home/visitor; lineup TBA.
NOTE: It's officially a double-header, with the winner of our game taking on the winner of last week's Team Eric vs. Team Godzilla game. Start stretching!
The post-game (victory?) celebration will return to Jeremy's Ale House. Be sure to look up when you get there! Twice! ;-)

Do Something 13 - SourceMedia 10
GAME 7 RESULTS - 7/17/06
It was ugly at times, a tough loss to a team we should have beaten, but even the Devil Rays beat the Yankees sometimes. Considering Do Something is a non-profit, I'd say we can claim the loss on our taxes as a charitable contribution!
The good news is that we've qualified for the playoffs, with our first game against the Excelerators on 8/8 at 7:15 pm at Coleman. The Excelerators, who will be the home team, are currently in second place in their bracket, and we are third in ours.
Before the playoffs, though, there's two more games left in the regular season, and we still have a chance to improve on last year's 5-4 record. Next up, we return to Con Ed Field on Tuesday, July 25th for a 7:15pm game. Let's go into the playoffs with two-game winning streak!

Nicole Chantharaj (3B) - 0-1; Run, 3 Walks, RBI

Lehman Brothers 5 - SourceMedia 2
GAME 6 RESULTS - 7/10/06
The 1986 Mets, the 1996-1999 Yankees...they all had something in common besides World Series trophies. Every now and then they lost a game.
After an offensive explosion last Friday, the Bad News bats couldn't seem to come up with the big hit Monday night, losing a tough one to an evenly matched Lehman Brothers team in the final inning. The opposition broke open a 2-2 pitcher's duel in the top of the 7th inning, beating out a couple of infield hits before a bases-clearing double gave them the lead and, ultimately, the victory.
Dropping to 4-2 on the season, the Bad News have a week to get back on track for their next game, July 17th, 7:15pm @ Coleman Oval Park. Come out and cheer your team on!
