The Bad News was thwarted yet again in its latest attempt to make its Central Park debut -- this time, it was Mother Nature interfering, with an assist from the Heckscher fields ground crew -- and in the process, denying the team's fans a play-off preview against Innovation. Small consolation did arrive approximately 28 minutes after game time, in the form of a serious, serious deluge.
Next game: With the third time being the supposed charm, the Bad News will try to compete on the unfenced fields of Central Park again next week -- same time, same place, just a different opponent. Tuesday, June 19, 6 p.m., at Heckscher Ballfield #2, against Team Tuttle.
